History of the Moscow Regional Branch of SPbGUP "Institute of Arts and Information Technologies"

The Moscow Regional Branch of the St. Petersburg University of Humanities and Social Sciences (SPbGUP) "Institute of Arts and Information Technologies" was established by decision of the parent university in 2002. It is an integral part of the University, preserving and developing its traditions in Moscow.

We have paved the way to a professional career for more than 7,500 graduates and are proud that over 90% of them found jobs immediately after graduation or during their studies.

The Branch trains specialists in the most sought‑after fields of study: "Applied Informatics", "Advertising and Public Relations", "Conflictology", "Economics", "Management", "Social and Cultural Activities", "Art History", "Sound Engineering".

The Moscow Branch of SPbGUP employs highly qualified academic and teaching staff: Candidates and Doctors of Sciences, honorary workers of education, culture, etc.

An advantage of the Branch is education in two capitals. During the first years, students study in Moscow, and the final year — in St. Petersburg, where they take the state exam and defend their final qualifying thesis.

In St. Petersburg, Branch students enter the unique environment of one of the world's most beautiful cities. The University's educational process involves 80 Doctors of Sciences and professors, over 150 Candidates of Sciences and associate professors, and 38 People's Artists and Honored Figures of Science, Culture, Art, and Jurisprudence. Accommodation in a comfortable Student House near the metro provides an opportunity to immerse themselves in the rich cultural life of St. Petersburg.

The Moscow Regional Branch is located in northwestern Moscow, directly near Zelenograd. The public transport stop is situated next to the checkpoint. The Branch territory is fenced, equipped with security systems, and represents a beautiful park area in a picturesque, ecologically clean location. After classes, you can take a walk in the shade of the alleys, play volleyball, basketball, or football on the field with natural grass, work out on the sports grounds, or go to the swimming pool.
